Prabakar is a Professor of Professional Sales and Chair of the Department of Professional Sales at William Paterson University. His prior appointments include Texas A&M University, Drexel University and Harvard Business School India Research Center.
He has extensive field and academic experience in the area of business marketing strategy formulation and execution, B2B relationships, Marketing channels, personal selling and salesforce management. He has won many research awards and his model of value-creating networks has been influential in designing and building technology and software alliances.
